This is one majestic waterfall, situated in the forests of Bislig, but still a long drive from the town center in Mangagoy. It's the widest falls I've ever seen (never been to Niagara, though), with so much overflowing water. On my first visit, about three years earlier, there were still people living nearby. I was surprised to see the place abandoned.

Such is the expanse of Tinuy-an Falls in Bislig. Only a graduate from a certain university in Diliman would strike a pose like that. ;-)

Is this in Barobo or somewhere else? We were driving to Bislig from Butuan and saw this beautiful cave with crystal-clear waters where residents would swim and wash their clothes.

Locals say the aviator Charles Lindbergh once visited this place and called this Waikiki Beach because it reminded him of that famous beach in Hawaii. But for me, this is better than Waikiki. The latter is a long stretch of white sand, the beach forming a slight curve. But Cagwait's isn't even U-shaped; it's C-shaped, with a sandbar at the entrance so that no big waves could enter. Perfect for swimming, especially coz only a few people go there. I fear the day when this will become as famous as Boracay, with hundreds of tourists milling around, loud music everywhere.

Returning home from Bislig, we stopped for lunch somewhere, probably Lianga, when I spotted this beautiful coastline during low tide.
